Aeropress

Brew Guide

What you will need

Aeropress

Aeropress Filter

Grinder

18g of coffee

Hot Water off boil

Scale

Timer

Mug or Decanter

Step 1:

Put the aeropress filter in the cap, rinse with hot water then attatch to the aeropress.

Step 2:

Weigh your coffee to your desired strength.  We recommend a 15.5:1 Ratio, Meaning we use 15.5g of water to 1g of coffee.

(We love a 18g recipe for this one)

Measure 18g of coffee & grind to the desired fineness

Step 3:

Add the coffee into the Aeropress, use the funnel as it helps with no spilling, then place aeropress on your mug or server & place on scale.

Step 4:

Tare the scale & start the timer. Bloom the coffee with 36g of coffee.  Use a stir stick to ensure all the coffee is saturated, be sure not to break the filter with the stir stick.

Step 5:

At 45 seconds fill the aeropress with 280g of water over the course of 15 seconds.  Once filled carefully take the aeropress & mug off of the scale for next step.

Step 6:

At the 2:00 minute mark stir the coffee grounds one last time, then place the plunger on the top.

Step 6:

Here is where you will start to appy pressure downward to plunge out the coffee.  Press slowly until all the water is pushed through the device.  This process should take 30-40 seconds.

Step 7:
